  • Meet your English-speaking guide at 09:30 am at the Cittadella square of Piacenza and hop on the dedicated minibus
  • Arrival at the medieval borough of Rivalta hidden among the Piacenza hills
  • Visit its castle, a sumptuous stately residence surrounded by a magnificent park. Cited in historical documents as early as 1048, in the fourteenth century, it entered the domain of the Eearls Conti Landi, which still retains its ownership.
  • Fully furnished, it houses the new Museum of Military Costume with an exhibition section dedicated to military uniforms from the Italian Unification to the Second World War
  • Travel the hills to reach a local winemaker and visit its cellar to discover the production of typical wines of the territory. Taste 3 different types accompanied by some of the most famous local products
  • Return to Piacenza at approx.. 01:30 pm

CASTELL’ARQUATO TOUR

  • Arrival at the borough of Castell’Arquato listed as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages
  • Visit the Rocca Viscontea castle considered one of the most important military complexes in Northern Italy. Located on the top of the hill, you can see its magnificent towers dominating the village and the Arda valley. Inside the Rocca you will see models on medieval life and an exhibition of armour, which explain in particular the defensive systems and the siege techniques used over the centuries
  • Stroll through the medieval borough and visit the Colleggiata of Castell’Arquato. According to Campi, the presumed origin of the church of S. Maria is 758. Step inside to discover wonderful frescoes of the chapel dedicated to the patron saint of the Borgo, San Giuseppe, dating back to 1630
  • Travel the hills to reach a local winemaker and visit its cellar to discover the production of typical wines of the territory. Taste 3 different types accompanied by some of the most famous local products
  • Return to Piacenza at approx.. 01:30 pm
